Mar. 17th, 2008 09:47 amAfter doing nothing other than studying all last week, I studied until 130am Fri night and then collapsed into bed. Sat morning was the last PACT meeting, so we all went down to say goodbye to the other families and trade email addresses. Hopefully, we'll be getting together again soon. We had to cut out a bit early so I could drop A and R at the house and then drive to West Ashley to take the GRE.
The GRE went really well, although while I was taking it, it felt like I had failed the math. Turns out I got a 600, which is better than average and better than I did on the test in college. Yay, all the studying paid off!
After the GRE, I came home to find we were having folks over for dinner which was already on the grill. Unfortunately, as the grill slowly worked its magic, said people got bored with us and the baby and went to the bar, "to have one beer," and then called about 11pm to say they weren't coming back. Heh. We'd figured that out as soon as they said they were leaving. I was not at all upset by that as I really just wanted to relax on the couch.
Sunday, A and I ran errands while the baby went to the nursery. We went to Costco for bug spray and diapers, but the $200 store worked its magic and we left with a tent, clothes for A and the baby and a lantern. Oops. We made a quick run to Target for the baby's Easter basket (he's getting a v. nice assortment of things in a big beach pail--a book, a puzzle, a DVD, three eggs with cars in them, an egg with a Cars puzzle inside, an egg with a stuffed Pablo inside, some beach utensils (rake, shovel, sieve), and a sleeve of reese's peanut butter cups) and made it out of there with only a few other things, like shirts for A. When we got back to the house, R was still with Grandma, so we watched Across the Universe and relaxed for a bit.
About 4pm, I picked up my mom and the baby, dropped R back with A and headed to SteinMart, which was somewhat disappointing. I found some really cute dresses, but they were all either badly made or too expensive. Momma did buy me two hats which were v. on sale ($15 each). I remembered seeing some cute dresses at Target so we went over there and I found 3 great dresses. One of them was even on sale and was plaid!! (I've been frantically searching for a madras dress for the Cup next weekend (weekend after Easter).) Plaid is close enough. :) I got the dress and added a flowy black hippie top for $6 and a cute patterned skirt for $4. Excellent!
The baby had napped while I was shopping, but he woke up to eat some Five Guys Burgers and Fries that I brought home and then fell back asleep (but not until 11pm!). At that point, everyone collapsed.
