1. Did you date someone from your school?
No. I went to an all girls school, and while many of us realized later we would've liked to have dated someone there, no one had as far as any one knew by the time I graduated.

2. Did you win anything in Seniors Who's Who?
We didn't have those.

3. What kind of car did you drive?
No car for me in high school. I had my permit but was terrified and didn't get my license till I was 18. I had a bright pink Earth Cruiser I rode to school or I got a ride from someone with a car.

4. It's Friday night...where are you?
At a friend's house or a party, with a bunch of people, watching videos or going our for fries.

5. Were you a party animal?
Not one of the get drunk every weekend animals, but yes, in that there were parties every weekend and I went to them.

6. Were you considered a flirt?
Yes

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?
We had two singing groups--Red Choir, the high school choir, and Ensemble, which was the smaller, um, ensemble made up of the best of the larger choir members. I was in both. I sang something from Rocky Horror for my ensemble audition and the director said, I heard later, that it was one of the best auditions he'd ever heard. (One of my prouder moments.)

8. Were you a nerd?
No. Although I had some nerd friends, and had some of the same characteristics.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?
No, but I did get my senior privileges taken away towards the end of senior year because I left campus without permission. Basically, that meant I couldn't leave campus for lunch.

10. Can you sing the fight song?
We had school teams--when you got to 7th grade, you picked either Purple or White out of a hat, and competed as part of that team until you graduated. All kinds of school activities got your team points, and the competition culminated in Play Day towards the end of the school year. The team with the most points got the Cup. Hmm, now that I spell it out, it's a lot like Harry Potter. So maybe a British thing or a boarding school things (which my school used to be)? The point here is that we didn't have a school fight song, although we did play other schools in volleyball, etc, but a fight song for each team.

We are the P U R P L E S and out of all the teams we are the best!
We're gonna fight, fight, fight for victory, until we all go down in ancient history!
We're gonna fight and win in every game, till we all are proud to bear the Purple name!
Cause in every game we really try, we are the Purples, here we go-o-o!
Yay, Purples!

or

(sung to the tune of When the Saints, go marching in)
When the Whites, go marching in, Oh, when the Whites go marching in
We're gonna have a glorious victory, when the Whites go marching in
We're gonna win, hey, hey!
We're gonna win, hey, hey!
We're gonna win that Cup this year!
We're gonna have a glorious victory, when the Whites go marching in!
(and then there's a clapping routine)

And then of course, there are 3 or 4 school songs.

11. Who were your favorite teachers?
Ms Tenney, my history teacher.
Ms McGregor, English
My French teacher
Ms Sheridan, for science

12. Where did you sit during lunch?
The first two years...in the cafeteria, I think. Or on one of the benches by the Bear Cave. Junior Year, I had no lunch period because I was trying to fit in two sciences and two languages, so I ate lunch in AP American History. Then Senior Year, I ate either on Senior Lawn or in Shell House, both of which were for seniors only and had dire consequences for lowerclasswomen who trespassed.

13. What was your school's full name?
Ashley Hall

14. School mascot?
Panthers

15. Homecoming court?
Didn't have one.

16. If you could go back and do it again, would you?
Yikes. Um, no. I don't think so. Even the good parts involved a lot of pressure.

17. What do you remember most about graduation?
My dress, my roses, walking out with the rest of the class, my grandparents coming

18. Where did you go senior skip day?
We didn't have one. We had a senior prank day which was fun--it was the beginning of Junior Senior activities, like Kidnap, and my year, we did things like put alarm clocks in the ceilings of the classrooms, and move the shell house furniture onto the auditorium stage. A couple of things got people in trouble--some girls took aluminum foil from the kitchens to wrap the trees, so they were scolded for stealing, and another girl went in the faculty room and moved the mail in the teacher mailboxes around. That was just stupid.

19. Have you gained some weight since then?
OMG, yes. I weighed about 115 when I graduated. In college, I grew two inches and went from an A/B cup to a C/D. Boob!! And since then I've gained and lost quite a bit. Right now I weigh about 100 lbs more than that.

20. Who was your Senior prom date?
My ex bf because my new bf lived in Pennsylvania.

21. Are you planning on going to your 10-year reunion?
I went to the 5, couldn't find the class party for the 10 so I missed it, went to the 15, and will most likely go to the 20 next year.

22. Who was your home room teacher?
We didn't have homeroom in high school.

23. Who will repost?
Whatever.

24. Did you play any sports?
Pretty much everyone played some sport or was on some kind of team. I did debate and softball. Softball had the same season as track, so it was the sport of choice for anyone who didn't want to run very much. We had all the smokers and chunky girls and the lazy. It was awesome.

25. Do you still talk to people from school?
Not really. I exchange email with one or two occasionally, but that's about it.

26. What year did you graduate?
1989

27. How many people were in your graduating class?
36, which was considered a large class.

I did not know that.

Unless you were a legacy. Ahem. Which means that L. picked out a hat, and we were all that.

I found myself singing one of the other school songs walking down the street the other afternoon. Midtown, no less.

Minus Ms McGregor, mine too!! Add in Mrs. Hutto (Latin). And Miss Keith (English). And for me "my French teacher" expands to Mme. (Mlle.?) Gaillard and Mme. Jones.

36, which was considered a large class.

Wow, you had more than we did! And we were considered a huge class. At 32.
