charlottezwebThis is the second week of my new job and so far, so good. I like the other people in the office (5 engineers) and the work is great, when it exists. I'm the office manager, sortof, I use that because it is the current appropriate title for my job but it has the least amount of work I've had with a job like this. Well, when we have a project going out there's a lot of finicky work but otherwise, I don't do much. Got my first paycheck today, yay. If anyone wants to IM me or anything, that would be awesome, since that's what I do for a chunk of the day.
Otherwise, things are ok--the baby is adjusting to me being gone--the end of this week is harder for him as it's just sinking in that this is permanent. He is talking up a storm and trying to spell things with random letters.
The partner is ok--working too hard. I see him for abt 5 minutes a day during the week as we exchange the car for the baby and he heads off to work in the evening.
It's nice to be productive and have a nice check to shown for it--I'm looking forward to getting some debt paid off this year. Yay.
We went to see Juno, which was great, last weekend, and had people over to the house the last three saturdays--being social again is lovely. Seems like people are less afraid of the baby now.

Date: 2008-02-07 10:39 pm (UTC)(Oh, and while I don't know that it's actually an allergy, I really think I do have a reaction to something in *sob* strawberry twizzlers--leads to skin itchiness and a general sense of allergicness...allergiousity...or something like that. *g* Not the sort of major problem you get, but enough to cause me to rethink the twizzlers.)
