So I posted a comment on another journal about comfort food and now I need some help coming up with a recipe that would be on the menu in the dining halls in college. They called it Chicken Divan, but I looked at recipes and it wasn't a casserole. It was a breaded chicken breast smothered in cheese sauce on a bun. The chicken wasn't baked with the sauce; the sauce was dolloped on afterwards.

Has anyone had anything like that or have any recipe suggestions?

Yes yes yes- divan and cordon bleu can be made as casseroles and they often were in school. Did your divan have broccoli? Anyway- try doing the chicken chopped up and making the sauce (more of course) then baking in the sauce with any other items that go with. That should do it. I'll see what I can find.
