The baby has a huge black eye--the kind that may spread to the other eye as well. The day started out well--some videos and breakfast and then a walk over to the barn to hang out with A for a couple of hours, but when we went over to the playground, the baby got clocked in the head with a swing. There was much crying and wailing "boo boo!" His cheek is swollen and underneath his eye looks awful. Strawberry gelato made him feel better as did his Pooh cold pack and some baby tylenol.

We were supposed to have pictures done next week--we'll be putting that off for a bit. Oddly enough he had a black eye (much milder) and an allergy flareup the last time we had pics done.

Poor baby! As one who spent my childhood badly bruised for a variety of play/clutziness reasons, I sympathize.

Is it time to make an offering to the photo ghods?

I think he's going to be the same way. it looks like he might have inherited my "grace" so to speak. Luckily, he has a very sturdy head.

An offering would be lovely--He was so red eyed from the allergies last year that only the black and white pics look decent.
