Nov. 23rd, 2007 10:23 pmYay, black friday. and even more yay, the 21st C, when I can complete my post thanksgiving shopping from the comfort of my own couch.
I've finished all my shopping for the holidays, barring any spur of the moment items, except for charity toys. Last year, instead of doing toys for tots, we got three names off the charity tree at school with the child's name, gender and age, plus instruction for the number of presents to be bought. It was a very personal and very satisfying so we're hoping to do that again this year. We've already bought some books for the Happy Wheels program which gives books and toys to children in the hospital every thursday throughout the year. I was surprised to hear that they have plenty of little kid books donated but not nearly enough in the 8-13 age group. So we ponied up for some Magic Tree House. :) I know I need to find ways to do stuff all year but it's so easy during the holidays.
It's going to be a small Xmas but that's fine--everyone has a present or two, and the baby, of course, a few more. But not extravigantly more for once. Of course, my partners parents will more than make up for that, not that I mind. :) I made him an amazon wishlist this year to make it easier.
