Caught in a seemingly opposite set of events, I can find neither war protesters nor people who have seen Gone with the Wind.

I haven't yet protested the war, but I have recently seen GWTW. (I had long been holding my "Why no, I haven't, but I'd LOVE to see it with YOU" flirt card, and decided that I finally found someone on whom I could play it effectively.) Now I must read the book to see if Scarlett and Rhett are complex personalities or just unevenly directed. (Another friend votes for the latter.)

Complex! Very, very complex. That's one of the reasons it's been so hard for anyone to write a sucessful sequel. I don't think I could sit through a 1000 page book featuring cardboard main characters.

I think I saw that movie when I was a little cat. Haven't read the book. It's hard to read books that weigh more than I do.
