I've just opened a upromise college savings account for my son and am trolling shamelessly for volunteers to sign up their grocery/drugstore cards, etc. The retailer/manufacturer donates a portion of the purchase price of the item to the account. It's been around for a while but I only just got the account set up--my MIL has had one set up for him since before he was born.
