Clarification
Mar. 27th, 2007 06:39 pmI think I left something out of my last post but my MIL actually passed away that Sat. Her heart just gave out. I had some stuff to say about the service but am not sure I can record more than impressions--very fire and brimstone tiny town preacher--he even warned us that we might be next so if we weren't saved, we should get on that. Lots of people exclaiming praise jesus and amen. All very heartfelt also the reason A is so anti-religion.
Although he likes presbyterians--called us the Vulcans of the Christian world.

Date: 2007-03-28 12:20 am (UTC)I don't really blame A for being anti-religion with that sort of "repent or buuuuurrrrrn", altar-call-at-the-funeral sort of background. My mother (who is a nice Christian lady and on Session at her presbie church) rolls her eyes at that sort of thing. I would probably start looking very, very stony.
Peace to you all during the transition.
