The baby had his first real haircut today. It went very badly. He will not be having one again, until he's, say, 7. The place was very highly recommended and the stylist was wonderful and tried to do all sorts of soothing things, but the baby decided the salon was the worst place in the world within 2 seconds of walking in and sobbed and wailed for the next 20 min. Since the cut started, we went ahead and finished it while listening to those heartbreaking hiccupy sobs coming from his face buried on my shoulder.

Afterwards we went to a local pizza buffet/children's arcade and playspace as a treat.

It's cute, but not cute enough. And there was no way we could force him to sit there long enough to get the baby-hawk we wanted. But he does look identifiable as a boy now.
