Jan. 23rd, 2007 10:21 pmAnother day, another dollar.
Got to grade essays for my 1101 class today, 5 of which were written with the thesis that "gays are an abomination in the eyes of the Lord." *sigh*
Classes are ok otherwise--lots of young kids this term--still wearing their letter jackets and raising their hand to go to the bathroom. It's very cute.
Have a date for Fri to go to Atl or Kennesaw with P and the baby. Very much looking forward to that.
Watvhed the movie "Ginger Snaps Back" tonight. Quite good, if you like that sort of thing.

Date: 2007-01-25 03:41 am (UTC)It's quite an interesting subject. Googling around, we see that homosexuality is "ebhah" to the Lord, but so is (among other things) all crossdressing (Deut 22:5), twice-divorced women (Deut 24:4), fraudulent weights and measures (Deut 25:14-16), and any attempts at divination (including, one might well suspect, palmistry, all flavors of psychics, and astrology). In addition, the more poetic writers of later generations went on to add broaden the ranks of the ebhah-abominable, including liars (Proverbs 12;22), the proud (Prov. 16:5), and those who question judges (Prob. 28:9). It leads one to question how deep is our dedication to stamp out ebhah in this age.
