Okay, what do y'all think about this dress for a Mardi Gras ball in Mobile? It's white tie/tails but the women I know who've gone didn't wear full ball gowns or gloves--the only rule given was floor-length.

I think it's a fabulous dress, but I have no idea whether it's okay for the ball, never having been to one.

The important question is, will you feel good in it, or will you be anxious that you're not dressed right?

It's appropriate. Add a wrap in something lux (velvet, fur, fake or otherwise, strappy heels, hair up and jewellery, and you'll be hot, hot, hot!

I love it - also the one in copper. I think accessories can give it completely different personalities, all the way from very sophisticated to just plain hot. Different shrugs, gloves, shoes and jewelry will make it into a gown for different events.
