Date: 2006-11-17 04:23 am (UTC)I just don't have experience in this kind of educational setting--and I've been teaching the way I was taught, but that's got to change. These classes are more like a high school/college cross, I think. Very few people do the daily work and about 50-75% of the students stop coming after the midterm across the entire campus. It's frustrating.
The new Division Head talked about starting a mentor program for the newbies, but nothing's happened yet. It would be really helpful though.
