On Friday, we ran out of gas on 293, which is a very rural highway. Luckily the torrential rain had stopped. A very nice woman stopped and drove me to the closest BP where they cashed my paycheck even though that's not a service they normally provide. I was able to buy two gas cans and some gas and then the woman drove me back and insisted on waiting until the gas was in and the car started.

So much better than it could have been.
