Sep. 7th, 2006 08:30 amProject Runway was pretty good last night, but I realized something--I have southern pageant taste... I love Kayne's dresses and thought last night's was beautiful---admittedly maybe it looked different, more over the top, in person.
I thought Jeffrey's was well-made and very runway, but it wasn't something I would wear which I thought was the point of couture...
And glueing things to a couture dress is right out.

I would like to be able to enjoy the show. Really. But I just can't take the challenges and the whole idea that everyone has to be bitchy - the "survivor" element *ick*. I suppose it's the drama of all that which attracts many people. So far I've been able to hang on for about 15 minutes and then I hit the remote. The 3.5 minutes of fashion show isn't enough to make me sit through the rest.
I ADORED "Unzipped", which was all the behind the scenes stuff for Isaac Mizrahi's fall 1994 collection. It was 73 minutes of pure pleasure. Why can't they make a show more like that and show lots of fashion?
