So classes are going well so far. I've got two at the Marietta campus on M and W mornings and then three at the Cartersville campus on T and Th. In between I work at Barnsley or sit in my office on the Cartersville campus. The commute to Marrietta sucks--there's one piece that takes 15 in the afternoon but takes 1 hour in the morning. This job is making break my rule of not commuting over about 15-20 min. It's worth it though--I like the teaching and the pay is lovely. I miss my son though and I am, um, tired.

For some reason, the students at the Marietta campus are much more prepared and participative than the ones on Cartersville. Can't figure out why yet, unless it has to do with the local education systems.

The educational systems may be different, or the socioeconomic base and parental educational level may differ. Often it's hard to tease out the factors, because they are usually intertwined.

Good luck with the commute. I don't have one, but the BIL does and he uses books on tape/CD to make the time go faster.
