I haven't posted much lately because I've been just trying to hold my shit together, but this last thing just sucks--we're in a real bad situation financially (as many people are, I know), but Acey just spent 16 hrs "trying out" for a job which they just called to tell us that he didn't get. A waste of a week. And now we've got to start job hunting all oevr again.

And people in Chas don't freak out because I'm sure it will work out somehow, but I don't know how we can come home for the wedding when we can't pay our bills for May or June. Much less buy the stupid tie. If one of us does mange to get a job in the next week, I don't know how we can take the time off.

No, no pay or we wouldn't be nearly so pissed. To top it off, at the end of the first day when they told him to come back, they also told him what the uniform was for the job so he went and bought two new shirts. Grrr.

That seems fraudulent. I know more companies are doing tryouts, but two days? Uniform?
