Unemployed
Mar. 4th, 2003 04:12 pmSo far I've been unemployed for two weeks and four days, not that I'm counting or anything. I was actually happy to get "let go" since I was coming to despise my supervisor, but I'm finding that I don't handle being jobless very well. It's not the lack of work (not that I'm lazy, ahem), but the lack of a nice steady income. Plus the fact that I don't have anyone to play with.
The first week I spent redoing my resume, looking at the classifieds and registering with Job Services, but then I got bored, so I went to NYC for the second week. Much more fun, if a tad bit more work. Ruthlessly rooted through porcinea's packed to the seams closets, rejecting about half. Also managed to do a little shopping and consume about a metric ton of LiLac vanilla creams.
Now I'm back in what should be sunny SC, but is more drizzly, having decided to open up my own tour company. Just need a name...
