In limbo, waiting to leave...

We're driving to SC for the long weekend and leaving as soon as Acey gets home from work and showers. I've got us packed--just need to walk the dogs before we load them in the car. No idea when he's getting home so I'm just sitting around trying to remember what I've forgotten to do.

Madeline and Sam will be living with their grandparents from now on--lots of reasons why--and I think they'll be fairly happy. Certainly happier than they are here right now. And Madeline will be so spoiled--she'll get to drive again.

It's a long drive, but we'll do part today and then the rest early Sat, so we'll have most of Sat, all of Sun, and then leave after breakfast on Mon. I think M&M are having a party Sat night, which'll be fun, although I'll have to leave early because of the baby's bedtime, and then M and Acey and his dad will go fishing on Sun while I hang out with the grandmothers and aunts.

H, are you able to put me up on Sat night? avec il bebe?

About 13 hrs without stopping and abt 16 with. It's not too bad, but better when we can take turns driving--I had to sit in the back with the baby and take care of him.

Hope you have fun this weekend. Sorry I'll miss you again. Two of my friends just signed up for this: fransh and yellowdogny (I have no idea how to make the user id's hyperlink). Anyway, yellodogny is Amelia, she lives in Queens, and she just got her Master's degree in Publishing. She's great, and I think you two would get along well.

Sorry, my pronoun use was nonspecific, but they will each be with their own grandparents, so Sam is in Huger and Madeline is with my mom. She missed me for about 15 min evidently and then curled up on my mom's bed. :)
