For anyone who was thinking about coming by tomorrow, ahem, I will be here, not in Anderson. I decided that although I do want to go to the funeral, it's too much too soon after everything. Lugging the baby through the airport, making the hour drive from Greenville to Anderson and back, etc...it's just more than anything I've tried to do until now, so I'm going to stay home in my pjs for a while longer.

I think that's the wise thing to do. Funerals are important, but my father (who is only 10 years younger than your grandfather (ahhhh!)) always says it's more important to take care of the living. You and Reef need to rest and recover and you shouldn't feel bad about making that your priority. So good on you. I'm sure you'll find your own farewell ritual, if you haven't already.
