Boy! And even better, he's totally healthy as far as we could tell. The U/S was fascinating--I lay on the table and the tech put blue gel all over my stomach and then spent abt 40 min checking every part of the baby from the kidneys to the femurs. We could see all the bones and some of the organs--the heart was very clear and beating abt 157 beats/minute, and she used infrared? to check the flow of blood through the umbilical cord. We could see it flow through the cord and then split into the main arteries--so freaken cool! She measured him in several different places to check his growth and then the computer averaged them to come up with how he was doing compared to how far along I am--he's measuring abt 4 days ahead, which is great--it means he's growing well, but not too fast. We got some still pics and a video which we inflicted on the grands last night. Oh, and his name is Royce Edward Evans Fiveash--both family names.
