A Red Letter Day!
Jan. 12th, 2005 10:12 amI feel cute! And more to the point, I actually might look cute today! Finding plus-size maternity clothes has been a bit of a challenge, in fact, well nigh impossible. And wearing too-big plus clothes was not working. But! But! But, I found clothes at jcpenney.com, ordered a bunch from the clearance rack and they came yesterday. Today, I am wearing my previously owned black rayon pants with a new plum built-in bra tank and a black rayon faux-wrap top with flutter sleeves. Yay! When the weather warms up a little, I'll be prepared with a variety of cute tanks and skirts, including a print skirt that has a wide smocked waistband, and a tankini.
I also colored my hair over the weekend, since one of my friends commented on how sad it was I'd stopped doing anything to myself since I got pregnant (ok, she had a point). The hair color was a new kind of semi-permanant dye which was spectacularly unsuccessful--very difficult to apply, got all over my towel after I'd washed my hair, and turned my hair a color that's either crimson tide red or magenta depending on the light. It is eye-catching, but not quite what I had in mind, but it'll wash out and then I can do it again. I wish I could find a semi-perm that was the color of my old fav perm color--it made me feel like chocolate covered cherry.
