Ferrets!!

After answering a distress call from a woman on another lj group, I picked up two 3 month old ferrets on Sat. The brother and sister are now living in their penthouse cage in my dining room and they are so darn cute. I'll post pictures soon. :)

don't believe the hype: while ferrets do in fact poop in corners, they poop everywhere else as well. strange idea of corners, that.

Heh. Yeah, I'm learning that. Sortof like rabbits, who will poop in a litter box, but also most other places that they feel like. The ferrets do mostly pee in the boxes, but they do seem to poop as the feeling hits them. At least it's not bad to clean up. We're going this weekend to a home/hardware store to get something to cover the floor in that room so they don't ruin the hardwood, and something to cover the cage wire floors so they don't hurt their feet and so I can clean the cage more easily.

i have never had ferrets, but the sweetie of the one i live with did for a while. lots o'pooping. also thyroid problems.

i am also waiting for ferret pictures and wedding updates!
