Bleah. I woke up with a cold this morning. Or something cold-like anyway. In fact, it's the same ickiness I've had twice already in the last few months. Perhaps it's time to rinse the sinuses and see if I can get rid of any residual infection.

How does one rinse one's sinuses?

Traditionally with a neti pot, which is a little clay pot that looks kindof like the genie's lamp might look--short with a long spout on one side. They also make premixed wash in squirt bottles, which is what I used last night, or I've also mixed up a bowl of warm salt water and snorted some in through one nostril at a time. As long as the mix is about the temperature and salinity of tears, it doesn't hurt at all and it can really make a huge difference in a sinus infection or in allergies.
