Okay, so I've gotten some questions about this in the course of all the baby emails, etc, so I might as well admit it: I'm engaged and firmly on the path of the big dress.

And yes, I'm both very happy and very excited. :)

Exciting! Shopping for the big dress is one of my lasting fond memories. I NEVER thought I wanted one. Really. Then it just seemed to be the right thing. Shopped through hundreds of big dresses. The right one stops you still.

Heh. There are some things that we manage to do separately but that's mostly because we live in different states now.

The ring was disguised as an Xmas present, so Piglet took a whole series of pics of me opening it, putting it on, etc. She knew ahead of time but I was completely surprised.

Well, I haven't actually gotten one yet--right now I'm giddy about the possibilites--elegant, fairy princess, cutting edge (okay, maybe not that), etc. I love me some dress-up. This weekend I'm going to a place in NY that stocks over 100 plus-size samples! (Most places only have ten or so and everything else is a size 10.) But once I get the dress, .gifs are guaranteed. :)

Ohhhh, so exciting. I think sometimes about creating a performance piece just so I can wear a really good wedding dress. (I don't plan to ever get married.)

Shoes, veil (which I never thought I wanted until I put one on), jewelry, lingerie, and most important of all...a tiara! In fact, tiaras all around!
