Am coming back from the flu/a stomach bug. First Royce woke up ill about 11pm Weds night and was sick every 20 min until Thurs am, and then I woke up at 4am Fri am sick followed by Acey at 7am and we followed the same pattern. Luckily, the intestinal distress only lasted about 12 hrs but we're still not eating much--I'm on gingerale and saltines and Royce isn't eating much more even though he's been better longer. It's nasty. The fevery chills come and go and our house is too freaking cold for that, darn it. Also, it's hard to stay hydrated when I can't keep anything down, but if I get dehydrated I have contractions--I was terrified I was going to go into real labor in the midst of this. But, thank goodness, I managed to choke down enough gatorade to keep that from happening and now we're all definitely on the upswing, if still tired and a bit blechy.

So glad to hear you all are better. I was very concerned that you would go into labor, and couldn't imagine how terrible that would be. Yes, drink, drink, drink. A doctor once told me that by holding liquids in your mouth, you absorb through the membrane. Sipping just a teaspoon every five minutes is another technique. None of which I did when I was sick, and thus ended up in the hospital. Stupid, stupid me.

Take it easy. Hope you feel a lot better soon.

Nausea sucks.

Something that I find easier than soda/juice (and forget water- when I'm nauseaus, water makes me gag) is mint tea. Brew it *super* strong (add a few slices of ginger to make it even better/easier to drink). It'll keep you hydrated and settle your stomach.

Feel better!
