More conversations with my son
Dec. 11th, 2008 11:11 amLast night, while Xmas shopping in a local outdoor mall, we saw Santa. Royce ran over to the booth, climbed in his lap and started rattling off all the things he wants for Xmas. Santa was very amused.
On the way to the car, an hour or so later, we saw Santa, who had gotten off work, heading to his car.
Royce called out to him, 'Santa!! Why are you walking?" Where are your reindeer?"
Santa told him that the reindeer were waiting for him at the airport.
Royce said, firmly, "You go get them now! They're lonely in the reindeer barn. But they are playing reindeer games while they wait for you. Hide and seek is their favorite!"
And the he talked about the reindeer for the next hour or so--evidently, the reindeer barn has big stalls and reindeer food and snow, so they don't get homesick. :)

Jarring Moments In Life
