Conversations with my son
Dec. 11th, 2008 08:57 amYou may notice a theme, lol...
This morning:
Me to my mother, "If A doesn't start throwing away trash from the kitchen and living room, I'm going to kill somebody."
My mom, "Now, honey, no you're not."
Royce,"That's right, Grandmama, "you said the good thing." *patting her on the hand* "Momma, you can't shoot people." *frowning at me and shaking his head* "Or hit people. You have to use your words. You use your good words and it'll be ok." *pats me on the cheek* "When you are older you can shoot animals, like giant wild pigs."
Yesterday in the car: (This is interspersed with me making "uh-huh" and "wow, really?" noises)
"Momma, we're going to make a pecan pie with a recipe and I can put it in the oven. It'll be round and covered in soap and acorns. Soap is better than icing. We'll make it for Daddy's birthday!. We can get the acorns from Grandpa's acorn tree. We need some friendly squirrels to help us open the acorns. They will crack them for us and then we can put them on the cake. Not the wild squirrels in the woods though--they are not helpful, they are wild. We will shoot them and eat their meat."
