*sigh*
I was flipping through The City Paper this morning when I saw a full page ad for the Mellow Mushroom, a pizza place and bar we sometimes go to. Billed as family friendly during the day and more of a party bar at night with many kinds of micro brews and a beers around the world club. The ad is of a naked women sitting on a rumpled bed, legs spread with an open pizza box covering her nekkidity. We can see clearly that she is naked and we can see the tops of her breasts. Her eyes are closed and her mouth open as she prepares tofellatiate the piece of pizza she's holding. The caption? "GET A PIECE.."

Ow.
I can't. That. Um.
Well, I'm a big fan but have crossed them off of the list of places I'll eat around here. Women are not a commodity. Women spend money in your bar and restaurant, you idiots.
ETA: I just called the local store to find out whether it was corporate (in Atl) or the local franchise that was responsible for the ad. Local all the way. the woman I spoke with gave me the manager's email and his name as well as the PR person's name, but also said that the ad was a "jokey" one they run every year in the welcome back college kids issue of the City Paper. Um. Ok.
