The weekend was quite nice. Nothing as exciting as today re: getting my computer back, but still very nice.

Friday I found out that some friend of ours (T and J) who had been coupled for several (3 or 4?) years had broken up for real. He loves her but doesn't think they're good together anymore--she thought they were getting married and is heartbroken. I feel bad for both of them and I'm glad he made the decision he's been worrying about. A went out with some friends Fri night with the idea of comforting T but he was embroiled in end of relationship talks so didn't make it out. A had a good time, came home abt 1am--I was asleep, thank goodness. Did have a difficult time with R, just because I was so exhausted.

Saturday, we went to the farmer's market to get fruits and veggies, and let the baby have his pony ride and bouncy castle time. He got his face stepped on and was happy to leave by the end. The market wasn't too crowded, which was unusual and nice, because it was so overcast. I headed off to the Apple Store grand opening so A took R home to find grandma cleaning the kitchen. When I got home, we took A to work and then went out to whole foods to get groceries I had forgotten on Fri and to Lowes to get bins to pack up the baby's toys. We just don't have space for all his stuff, not with the newbie coming, so I'm going to try something that's been recommended--dividing his toys into several bins and switching the bins out every few weeks. Dinner was cheese and crackers and smoked oysters. I put R to bed and started reading the 7th Harry Potter over again until A got home from doing a wedding about 930pm. We watched a BSG ep and went to bed.

Sunday, A worked super early while I tried to take my laptop to the Apple store. Sadly, they don't open until noon on Sunday, so I had two hours to kill with a 3 yr old. Yay. We went to see Daddy at work, Uncle K bought him an italian ice, and we walked over to grandma's for a bit. Grandma decided to come with us to the computer store, where she played with an iphone and R played a Dr Suess computer game. We rushed home to get the car, picked A up from work, grabbed some Taco Bell and went home to get ready to meet everyone at the terrace.

On the way to James island, we dropped R off with grandma and rolled up at the terrace abt 10 min before showtime. Thanks to a bunch of drama, which had nothing to do with us, thank goodness, only T showed up to see Casablanca with us. Not the best movie for someone in the midst of a breakup. It was wonderful though--A had never seen it and loved it. Lawrence of Arabia is next in the series--really looking forward to it.

Dinner was at Nectar which we'd never tried. Quite tasty--A had honey glazed flat iron steak with stone crab claws, asparagus and mashed potatoes and I had all these mixed veggies in a cream sauce in puff pastry. Dear lord. I've never liked celery, carrots and onions so much.

Watched some more BSG last night and headed for bed.
