After my MD appt, i went back to work, got off abt 130, yay and went home to play with the family. We hung out at home most of the day--Acey made thai for dinner and we watched some Firefly after the baby fell asleep.

Saturday we skipped the Farmer's Market in favor of taking Acey to the clinic for an ear infection and running errands for their trip. Unfortunately, Royce was out of sorts. Which is an understatement. We managed to pick him up some new shoes in the wrong size (croc sandals), get Acey's meds and have lunch (On the Border) but at B&N things went south quickly. The kid's section was packed with princesses who did not deign to talk to a 3 yr old boy. Also they kept blocking the book rack and sitting in "his chairs." He was heartbroken and there was a lot of throwing himself to the ground and howling. When I saw that his face was turning bright red when he cried I realized there was more wrong than just 3 yr old tantrumy goodness. We headed home where we realized that we already had the $100 ear drops from the last bout but luckily the pharmacist said we could bring them back. We spent the rest of the day at home wathcing movies and cuddling on the couch. Oh, and Royce ate a bowl of strawberries and pooped for the first time in several days. I thought that would make him feel better and it did make his stomach better but not his nose.

Sunday, we ran more errands--returned the medicine, exchanged the shoes, got pvc pipe at Lowes to hold Acey's rods for the flight to CO. Had lunch at Five Guys, went to B&N again (better this time),and decided to treat Royce to a movie. Saw Wall-E which I think wasn't the best choice for a little guy. It wasn't nearly as action-y as other Pixars (which he loves), a bit too slow for him. But we made it through and headed home as the skies opened up. Had Chinese for dinner, mmm, (splurgy weekend to compensate for them leaving) and then spent 3 hours trying to get Royce to bed. Finally dropped off and then woke up 4 hrs later, clammy and wailing, "Mama, there's water in my nose! Get it oouutt! I need a tissue!" Nothing like a plane trip with a 3 yr old with a cold.
